China Minmetals Group

China Minmetals Corporation established in 1950, is a large-size international producing and trading group of metals, minerals and electrical products. Meanwhile it is also engaged in finance, real estate, shipping, bidding and tendering, and investment. In 1992, according to the decision by the State Council, Minmetals was formed as one of the 55 group enterprises as the first trial batch in the whole country and one of the 7 groups with the authorization to operate the state-owned assets. In 1999, Minmetals was listed among the 44 "key enterprises" managed by the Central Government. In 2007, Minmetals' total revenue reached US $21.8 billion which made it rank NO. 13 among China top 500 enterprises. In 2007, Minmetals was listed in the world Top 500 corporations by Fortune magazine.
